Hometown: Atlanta, GA
Occupation: Asset Management
2014 racing goals: Ride hard and have fun.
Best moment on the bike: First time up Mt. Ventoux. The only hill that I had ridden before that was Alpine across the GW bridge. I was on a rental triple, slowly crawled my way up the mountain and suffered mightily the whole time. But when I got up to the bald, lunar summit, I was hooked.
Why did you start racing: Bought a bike in 2007. Started racing in 2008.
Favorite race: The first out of town race I did: The Green Mountain Stage Race.
Biggest influence in your life: Not naming favorites…
Favorite food: Whatever pairs best with what I am drinking.
Racer Bio: Ben Fackler is a husband to a lovely wife and, as of 2013, a father of a beautiful young daughter. After spending the first part of his professional life chained to a desk, he switched jobs, bought a bike and started racing less than a year later. Bike riding and racing remain passions to this day.
